Cities are tough for the eco-conscious. Surrounded by miles of blacktop and concrete, steel and glass, the few trees you do see are probably caged behind tiny iron fences. There may be a park here and there, but it’s surrounded by city.
“Green urban living” certainly sounds a bit like an oxymoron. Surely there’s no escaping the common belief held by frustrated city-dwelling environmentalists: Urban living hurts the environment, and you can’t do squat to change it.
