Rejection Letter #1 - Barnwood Magazine 10/29/2009
In a lot of ways, I'm actually happy to have received this today. I'll be sure to keep my blog updated with all my rejection letters until it becomes so embarrassing even I can't stand it. Until then, please enjoy: Dear Justin P Lambert, Although I am declining to publish these poems, I do thank you for reading Barnwood magazine and for considering it to be a worthy potential page for your work. I’m sorry that the number of poems that I review makes it impossible to offer more than this form response. Glad to know that you are enjoying the Barnwood mag. Best regards, Tom Koontz www.barnwoodpress.org Recent Barnwood book, Poet’s Bookshelf II: http://web.mac.com/tomkoontz/Site_2/Poets_Bookshelf_II.html I'd like to pass along the above links because Barnwood is a really good example of a modern online literary journal that does it right. I would have loved to see a poem of mine included. And I believe I will yet! I'm not giving up. They're going to have to do a lot worse then THAT!!! CommentsSat, 14 Nov 2009 11:42:51 How unique to put your rejection letters on here! I think it's a GREAT idea and will turn into more than you think. I may actually benchmark against you and do the same thing! Thanks for the inspiration Justin! Leave a Reply |
